I attended San Jacinto College to complete my core coursework before transferring to the University of Houston, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. A few months after graduation, I joined Rice University as an HR Associate. In this role, I received immense support and gained a deep understanding of the onboarding process, knowledge that proved invaluable when I transitioned into an HR Records Analyst role. In that position, I loved diving into the backend data and learning how our foundational processes truly work. A few months later, I was promoted to my current role as a Benefits Specialist, a position I have proudly held for over four years. I absolutely love what I do, as it allows me to blend my foundational onboarding and data analysis experience to comprehensively support the staff and faculty here at Rice.

What I enjoy most about my position is guiding new staff and faculty through their first professional roles. They often come in overwhelmed by health and welfare benefits, so it's incredibly rewarding to ensure they leave our office fully understanding their eligibility and confident in their enrollment choices.
