Position Summary

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for processing walk up ticket orders at Rice Athletics events. He/she will greet guests and answer any inquiries regarding tickets or information about the event. This position will balance their sales drawer at the end of the shift and make sure their money matches the number of tickets sold. The position will also handle will-call and complimentary ticket admissions.

Previous use of a Point of Sale system.

Internal / External Contacts

Daily interaction with students, faculty, staff, patrons, opposing athletic department members, families, and the general public. In this function, the incumbent must display a positive image and tactfully solve ticketing matters while playing a crucial role in the over marketing and public relations efforts of the Athletic Department.

Physical Demands

Requires physical stamina to manage sporting events including walking, climbing stairs, and standing. Some lifting of up to 20 lbs is required.

Working Conditions

Will be required to work non traditional hours (nights and weekends).
