Position Summary

The Endowment Analyst I performs specialized financial, accounting, and investment activities. S/he reviews various account documents for appropriateness of activity, accuracy, data entry, and record-keeping; processes transactions and applicable documentation into various systems ensuring timeliness and accuracy; and completes bank-related activity with a high attention to detail and timeliness. The Endowment Operations Analyst manages the data integrity of various investment related reporting systems and generates regular reporting to the investment team for related activity. S/he assists in the preparation of special studies, reports, analyses, and other tasks as required.

- Must coordinate with investment office staff, Controller’s office staff & university department personnel across campus to assist with wire/ACH transactions payments for payables and investment related transactions.
- Coordinate with banking personnel to resolve inquiries related to account activity.
- Must Communicate effectively with investment managers regarding documentation and account activity as needed.

Physical Demands

- Able to move across campus to various departments.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time in front of computer.
- Able to climb stairs to 3rd floor office area.

Working Conditions

- Normal office with 40 hour workweek.
- Occasional evening and/or weekend work to meet deadlines.
- This position is considered essential during a campus emergency.

Description of Job Duty

- Responsible for timely and accurate management of data related to investment reporting, communications, and legal documents within various reporting systems even during high volume periods.
- Analyzes high volume of investment transactions to extract key details such as determining return and funding categories by asset class.
- Reconciles and crosschecks input; identify, analyze and evaluate unusual variations. Recommends proper resolution.
- Acts as the primary contact between the investment office and the investor relations contacts at the fund management companies to facilitate timely receipt of reports, maintain required contact information, and provide necessary information.
- Primarily responsible for data integrity of all investment reporting software. Runs necessary reports to audit department-wide data entry, identify any issues, propose alternatives to improve efficiency, communicate effectively with managers/key stakeholders, and lead implementation of applicable changes.
- Generates regular reports, proactively review reporting needs of department, make adjustments as needed, and serve as a subject matter expert on reporting.
- Works with applicable staff to create procedures for reporting systems, investment documents, reporting system/database organization; and act as a lead project manager to continually improve related procedures and execute changes.

- Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of various cash transactions and maintaining all relevant documentation in hard copy or electronic format.
- Serves as key contact for internal and external audits of applicable processes.
-Proactively addresses any issues quickly while using sound judgment to escalate issues to his/her manager.
- Serves as a subject matter expert for processing various transaction types.
- Creates detailed procedures and maintain updated documents.
- In charge of generating applicable banking reports, monitoring all account activity, escalating any unusual activity and maintaining all electronic and hard-copy statements/reports on a daily and monthly basis.
- Serves as key contact to communicate with banks, brokerages, and university departments about related transactions.
