Position Description

The Department of Bioengineering is currently accepting applications for a lecturer for our Bio-instrumentation lab course, Biomechanics lab course, and one additional course to be developed. The lecturer will also contribute to our senior-level Capstone Design and sophomore-level Bioengineering Fundamentals courses. The position will require a full-time focus on laboratory and classroom teaching and will begin in August 2018.

Education Required PhD or other Doctoral Degree
Specify Concentration / Degree Type

PhD in Bioengineering/Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or other closely related engineering discipline

Education Preferred

Coursework in engineering design; coursework in regulatory issues for medical devices and other healthcare products.

Other Required Qualifications

1. minimum of 3 years of teaching experience;
2. Experience with classroom or lab class teaching at the university level and in an undergraduate engineering program;
3. Strong communication and organizational skills.

Other Qualifications Preferred

Ideal candidate will have a strong interest in working with the undergraduate community and contributing to undergraduate advising.
