Position Summary

The Department of Bioengineering is currently accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow for our Bio-instrumentation lab course, Biomechanics lab course, and one additional course to be developed. The position will require a full-time focus on laboratory and classroom teaching and will begin in August 2018.

The Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow position is targeted for relatively new instructors. However, more experienced instructors are also encouraged to apply. All applications will be considered.

Education Required PhD or other Doctoral Degree
Concentration / Degree Type

Bioengineering or related field.

Education Preferred

PhD in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, or other closely related engineering discipline

Experience Required 1 year
Type of Experience

Experience with classroom or lab class teaching at the university level; teaching experience in an undergraduate engineering program; candidate should have done coursework/research in instrumentation, mechanics, and engineering design.

Experience Preferred

Coursework in engineering design; coursework in regulatory issues for medical devices and other healthcare products.

Skills Required

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Skills Preferred

Ideal candidate will have a strong interest in working with the undergraduate community and contributing to undergraduate advising.

Physical Demands
