Position Summary

The Senior Electronic Resources Assistant is responsible for assisting the Electronic Resources Librarian (ERL) in product trials, acquisition, access management and troubleshooting, receipt, subscription renewals, records maintenance, and usage data collection of electronic resources for the library. This position is also responsible for communicating effectively with library staff, vendors and publishers as needed. Lastly, this position is responsible for basic problem solving involved in access management and troubleshooting, records maintenance, and usage data collection.

- Daily interaction with library staff and library users.
- Committee work may involve multiple departments in the library and across campus.
- Contact with library vendors and customer service reps to resolve problems, obtain licenses and set up instructions, as well as responding to phone calls and emails from staff, students, faculty, remote users and sales reps.
- Ability to work with many individuals within and outside the library, including vendors.

Physical Demands

Able to work at a computer for long periods of time.

Office environment. Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
